I'm scoring around 6500 with my geforce3 1.4TB, 512ddr, k7s5a. I'm running win2k and the newest det drivers. My score seems a little low to me, anyone else think so?

If so, anyone have any ideas as to what my problem is? Would going to XP improve my score? Also, can i overclock my card on this mobo?

You can overclock your video card on ANY motherboard.

Are you running the DetonatorXP drivers (version 21.x)? They are available for 9x, 2k, and XP.

What is your OS?

No, WinXP will not increase your scores. The best scores are found under 98SE, followed by Win2k.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

that seems about right.
i also scored 6500 on 3dmark 2001.
but im running a P4 1.7 (@ 1.85) 256mb pc133 ram (thats right...pc133 on a P4....sad huh?) and a radeon 8500 under win xp (bah!!).
win xp considerable lowers your 3d mark score (not to mention the horribly slow ram).
if i had win 98...my score would be UP TO 1000 pts higher (but not exactly 1000 pts).

I don't claim to know anything about everything, I just tell people what I know.

OK, still get the Detonator XP driver (no, it's not just for WinXP, they have all versions) from http://www.guru3d.com. Then get a good tweak program from the same place and HAVE AT IT!
