Win XP has been running with no problems for 1 year. suddenly the above
message is displayed. I have followed all the links on help & support to
resolve this problem, but it seems the hard drive has some serious damage.I
am trying to save some critical files on this disc. I mounted the HD in
another PC running the same version of XP hoping to move my files and then
reformat this HD. In windows explorer the drive is visible but the volume
size is shown as 10GB and the folder names are in symbols eg â–¡â–¡â–¡fâ–¡â–¡.on double
click it requests a program I want use to open the folders. I would
appreciate some guidance
