I am running XP Sp2.

On startup, Windows started to do a chkdsk on my D drive which contains My
Documents. It took about 10 minutes, and during this time various messages
appeared on the screen including changing security settings moving this and
moving that.

When it was finished and Windows loaded, D drive was wiped clean. The hard
drive does sitll show that I have 14 GB still being used, and I managed to
figure out that my files are in a directory D:\found.000\dir0000.chk
I am unable to access this directory. It does not show up when I access the
drive. I have chaged the folder attributes to show hidden files and folders,
but still no luck.

Any help with recovering these files would be great. Thanks
