Was just looking for Planet Smashers for 7800 and someone's trying to
sell a sealed one for almost $100. The last sealed one only went for
about 1/3 of that!

Well, I sold one a couple months ago, cart and manual, for $33. Demand
exceeds supply at this current point in time.

Keyword here is "trying". People can ask whatever they want, doesn't
mean the market is willing to go there. Your question would more
appropriately be aimed at the seller him/herself.

You think that's bad--I just bid on the second issue of the Imagic Numb
Thumb newsletter (which I had back in the day, but misplaced) and the
winning bid was over $71!!! $71 for a single issue! If I could sell
my extra Atari Age issues and Nintendo Fun Club news issues for $71 a
piece, I'd be a happy man!

On the other hand, I managed to get rare items for the price I wanted
to pay...after waiting several months for the initial demand at the
higher price to diminish. Someone should keep track of these things.
The demand fluctuates so much over time that there is likely to be a
significant difference between the highest and lowest prices paid.
