While you're at it you can try this also to stop any spam getting to you
inbox.

OE>Tools>Message Rules>Mail>New>check box*Where the From line contains
people*>check box *Move it to a specified folder*.

Go to Rule Description>click *contains people*.click address book. Highlight
all on your list. click the first one then press the shift key and click on
the bottom one. click *From* on the right.>OK. Options>Apply Rule if:>click
Radio Button*Message does not contain the people below*>OK>OK

Back to Rule Description. click Specified Folder>New Folder. Give it a name
hit OK>OK>OK>Apply Now>Apply Now>OK>Close>OK

Seems a lot to do but it's straight forward. If you get any new address go
through the same procedure again

With the greatest respect, this does not answer the original problem, in fact
it's quite unrelated, although useful if you want to redirect mail to
different folders. The solution to the problem is as follows:
In OE select the Tools menu, then Options. On the Options window select the
Security tab. On this page you will see an option 'Do not allow attachments
to be saved or opened etc etc'
Unclick the box next to this. Close all windows. Now your attachment will be
available in the usual place for you to process.
Hope this helps

I'm wondering myself where the start of the post went. As you can notice I said**While you're at it you can try this also** this
being the second part of the post. It should have started by Tools>>Options etc. I'm glad you pointed it out to me Silentradar but
it doesn't explain what happened to the start of my reply to KURIAN.
I just checked in my keylogger and found this...

09:35:06 OE>>ToolsSecurity>>. Uncheck box
09:36:04 *Do not allow attachments to be saved**
09:36:38 Options>>
09:37:15 While you're at it you can try this also to stop any spam getting to you inbox.
I knew I inserted it.

Outlook Express' default security settings are simply trying to
protect you. OE has no way of telling whether an attachment actually
contains a virus or not, so it temporarily blocks any of those file
types that could potentially contain a virus. In Outlook Express,
Tools > Options > Security, uncheck the "Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" option, assuming
you trust the source, of course. The wiser course of action, however,
would be to modify your list of unsafe files, as outlined in the KB
articles below:
