Coleco Telstar with horizontal hold problem

I recently picked up a Telstar off ebay and I'm having horizontal hold
problems. My television doesn't have a horizontal hold manual
adjustment. I assume this is true of most modern televisions. I don't
have much experience with consoles this old, so I'm not sure if the
problem is with the console or the TV. Should a Telstar work fine with
a modern television, or would it only work with a television that
provides manual horizontal hold adjustment? If it isn't a defect in
the Telstar, is there a work around to allow it to work properly with a
modern television? Or if it's a defect in the Telstar, is it something
easily fixed? Anyone with any experience with this stuff have any
ideas?
