Is ne1 using a TFT on a gaming computer? Todays game rendering is getting more complex with detail. Will the lighting, shading and other texturing features look better or worse on a TFT than a quaility CTR monitor? I'm thinking on buying a TFT monitor.

Good TFT's should do the job, but I still think the picture looks better on an old fashioned CRT.

I think that even after all the refinements, TFT have inherent problems with changing resolutions... so unless you know you're ALWAYS going to be using 1280x1024 or whatever res your screen comes at, maybe CRT is a better solution.
Go to a store and change resolutions on TFTs, take a look at text, straight lines, and moving graphics, and see if it looks fine to you or not...

plus the refresh rates, while getting better all the time, are still not as good on TFT... you may get previous frame still being visible on the new frame...

they are much better for your eyes though... theoretically sharper, and zero radiation :)

I find that the picture is better on CRT, but I personally prefer TFTs.
