Hi i have done something a little silly. I have set security options in
gpedit including taking away the run button from the start menu. I am now
unable to open gpedit, have also tried task manager but the new task button
is greyed out.

Does anyone know a work around? Cheers

Hopefully, you haven't disabled access to any of these
locations:

1. Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local
Security Policy.

2. Start -> My Computer -> C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc.

3. Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer ->
C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc.

Good luck

Did you try a command prompt. You can also make a shortcut on the desktop.
