Okay, since I've got everything working with the 8500 so far, I decided to try it out with TV out. I hook it up through s-video, and I can see my desktop on the screen, but then I get a problem everytime I run a video file(avi,mpg,qtime). They don't show up on the tv, just a purple patch where they should be. It shows up on my monitor however.
I'm running Windows XP btw.

This really gets me, cause one of my favorate things to do is watch DVDs on the TV. I've changed the setting for composite dot switch between frozen and standard, messed with the flicker control, and nothing works to get the movies or dvd working.
Any suggestions or is this an XP/radeon 8500 problem?

Sounds like a Macrovision problem, but your not hooked through a VCR, so I don't know why it's giving it to you.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
