Recently, have been getting upwrsd of 10+ sessions of msmsgs.exe running in
the background. So many that i get a message saying my virtual memory is
running low. I can can them through task manager but all that happens is that
they re start, one at a time and gradually build up again. I've run
adaware, spybot & Norton antivirus but continues to happen. NAV states no
viruses. adaware & spybot result in the usual but say that they've deleted
them.
Any clues!!!

You may need to disable the messenger service. To do so start, run, type
services.msc, scroll down to messenger, properties and disable it..
