Woah, you should see what performance improvement I get from these on my Quadro DCC! I'm simply stunned. At least 20% better performance, if not more.

If there anything like the 23.10 beta's then I'm going to be happy. I'm dling them now I'll write back when I'm through benchmarking them.

Ok some benchmarking showed a little less performance than the 23.10's but better stability. But its still better than there last release drivers.

How much less performance. I switched from 22.80, so it is better, but will 23.10 offer even more?

I get a BSOD in win2k with the new drivers :frown: So I dunno about performance.

None of you guys are having problems? I was just on xbit formus and there's a thread 80% of which the guys had problems with the new official driver from nvidia. I'm just wondering because I'd like to get it, but now I'm afraid of messing up my system.
I've got WinME and a GeForce2 GTS/Pro. Anybody else have that config with the new drivers?

Working good for me. Slightly slower than the 21.81's, but much faster and nicer looking than the 21.83's. So far, this is the best looking driver set I've seen on my system. The detail level is a little better, and the overall display is not so dark. Better frame rates in the high detail sections of the benchmarking games.

Easy installation ... no monitor adjustments needed, and games are dead center on the screen. No BSOD's. I installed them as an upgrade ... the system is stable. No complaints on this end.

Which graphics card do u have- u say u get better performance w/ the 21.81?? I have a Quadro DCC, these 23's may include some extra tidbit for it.

I received the same thing. 3dmark2001 previous score: 2835
new 23.11 drivers: 3157. This is a big jump!! Drivers did this. Oh, This is with Windows XP..

Got XP also. Guess NVidia's drivers are now 160% optimized:)

I'm using a geforce 2ti and with the 23.10's I got reboots occasionaly but with the 23.11's its rock solid. In 3dmark I got 104fps@1028x768 32bit and with the 2311's I got 98fps. I got 6999 in the default 3dmark2001 bench and with the 2310's it would reboot in the middle so I never did get a full benchmark in with it under 2001. I'm also using xp so other os's will probly and most likely give totaly different results. But like I've sead before as long as xp is stable and my games run at full 32bit res I'm happy.

Think it would make that big of a difference in 98?

To Be or Not to be... DAMN but that is confusing!
December 5, 2001 1:35:50 AM

Nope, probably not. Nvidia and ATI are still new to XP so they are still improving their drivers for XP. They are already very optimized in Windows 98.

Did anyone get the warning when installing the new drivers?
** THESE DRIVERS ARE NOT DIGITALLY SIGNED!! ** What is up with that??? and, why are they not?
December 5, 2001 2:27:44 PM

Yeah ... the 21.83's were the fastest drivers I've tested in Win2K. I've got a VisionTek GF3. The sig, Flame, the SIG!

LOL!

Did you augment your card and make it a Quadro, or did you buy it? I tried the software customizations to make a GF3 a Quadro a few months ... didn't work for me. It just made a mess of the .inf file. And I'm too lazy to haul out a soldering iron.

ATTN: wwildbh ... Not an unusual thing to see. It can take a while for drivers to get signed off by Microsoft. In fact, it's been my experience that digitally signed drivers are often slower than beta or unsigned drivers (although the 23.11's are an official release.) Which is one of the reasons that people are often running with beta drivers ... looking for that extra bit of performance.

Microsoft usually "kills" the Coolbits overclocking feature in the driver sets, too ... and then it requires a workaround to enable it again. That can be slightly irritating for the benchmarking "maniacs" out there!

ATTN: Raila ... that depends entirely on the driver you are currently running, and the type of video card. Almost any driver in the 20.xx series is faster than the 12.xx series, but some older cards don't seem to "like" the newer drivers, like a TNT card.
