When running any game, the computer will automatically dump a blue screen and restart. In direct3d or Opengl. I've tried all the drivers for the ati radeon 8500 and still no help. I've updated the bios and the motherboard drivers. The motherboard is a Via 694. The video card
works fine in windows, but when running anything that requires direct3d or opengl, it will crash. Please help. I have 1ghz of ram and 2 1ghz pIII cpus. My powersupply is at 320w.

Adjust your VCache setting in the system.ini:
1. Open system.ini in Notepad
2. Go to the [VCache] section
3. Add these lines, or change the settings to this, directly under [VCache]:
MinFileCache=4096
MaxFileCache=131072
4. Save and reboot.

Also check if your AGP Aperture Size is set to 128 or better 256 MB in your BIOS.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground :eek:  .

It's a RAM issue. Either your timings are too high, or one or more of your sticks is bad.
