I am very new w/ video editing, and have a few questions. I have a ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon. What i want to do is record some of my farovite TV shows. Do u guys know any good video capture software (better than ATIs TV software) that can save to different formats. I also would like to know how to convert these recordings to DivX. Also, know any good software to edit video, i.e. cut out commercials. Thank u for any help u can give me.

Your card is probably only capable of recording in ATI's video format and MPEG1 (or maybe 2). You get the option of how you want to record when you set it up, if you want it in another format you'll have to convert it afterwards. I have seen other programs for recording, but they are all limmited to the formats your card supports.

You can adjust your settings in settup to 640x480 (or maybe even 720x?, can't remember) and 30FPS, that's clean broadcast quality.
