I want to thank the radeon 8500 users for answering my questions in a lowers post. I am defnitaely buying a radeon 8500 hundred next week now. I have another question for radeon 8500 users about dvd because I am new somewhat with dvd. I was thinking about buying a good standalone dvd player in the 150$ range to 200$. My question is though would I get as good as performance with the a good dvd drive with the radeon 8500 as a standalone dvd player with dolby digital, and all the other good stuff in the range of money I listed above. I need to know becuase if this is true I am just going to go ahead and add a dvd drive with the radeon 8500 order next week.

Yup, but if you want Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, you'll want a good sound card too, like the SoundBlaster Audigy.

With most modern GPU there is exceptionaly good DVD playback :)  as long as you have a good lead and TV :o ) you should be laughing.

Or the SQ2500 SuperQuad for only $14, with an AC3 decoder in the Home Theater system.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
