I have a GeForce 3 w/ TV-out and I want to connect computer to tv. The problem is my TV does not have an S-video port. How would I do this?

Simple. With the TV-out connector included w/ your vid card, there should also be a s-video to whatever (RCA is it?). Just plug the two cables together, and plug into tv.

Just think about it for a minute-if VIDEO comes out of your VIDEO card, what card would AUDIO come out of?

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Ooh! Ooh! I know the answer to that! Pick me! PICK ME! I'M OH SO SMART!!!

I reckon audio would come out of... a grammophone.

Wait, doesn't one of the versions of the R8500 have an audio port. I saw it, I was like wtf!

That RCA connection is Composite Video.

okay, so what do I need to connect video to TV, audio to TV...

Ok, for video, just find that composite converter included, or go buy a s-video to composite connector. For audio, hook up the analog port to your TV.

You simply hook your line out from your computer's sound card to your television's audio input. This can be accomplished with a stereo mini plug to dual RCA jack adapter. You can find these at many places, I get mine from a local department store with a 3-foot cable in the middle, as used for hooking a portable CD player to a home stereo.
Then, if your TV has an S-Video jack, get an S-Video cable and hook that up for video. If it only has an RCA-Composite Video input, you'll need to use an S-Video to RCA adapter.
