My customer has a Windows XP Box that won't boot up in safe mode, command
prompt, last known ......He wants his documents saved, but his "user" is
password protected. I can see his stuff there if I connect his hard drive to
another computer, but I still can not access his documents. I know his
password, but does anyone know how I can access his information?

You may have to 'take ownership of the files'

Hi :)
I also have a similar problem. After I formatted my system drive and
reinstalled I couldn't access the My Documents folder.I always move it to a
drive different than the system one to avoid them being lost from
format+install but it's not much different now: I tried to take ownership of
the files but it still tells me "access denied, check that the disk isn't
write protected or full" It's none of these. It lists as owners "SYSTEM" and
a long digit with a question sign infront. What can I do? Please help me!

I already managed to take my administrator rights back.It was a bit tricky
because I made a lot of copied folders but I think everything is OK now
