are you having any problems at all?

here is how win2k works... it uses one IRQ period. However from that one it makes 255 virtual IRQ's. It is impossible to have a hardware conflict.

as long as it says "no conflicts reported" you're fine!

You are Right? the sytem state that there are no conflicts even though there are so many devices on IRQ 11; but for some reason i cannot use Powerdvd or vcr; or watch stream video; or even play some mpeg files. the system locks; Nvidia website recommends one IRQ for the video card with no sharing

ok... sounds more serious then a IRQ.

can you check your cpu and case temps?

if not can you open your case and touch the HSF and then the video card and tell me if it's cold, warm, or hot?

i would say it's a irq problem if you had 98 but you have win2k and shouldn't be a problem.

could be bad ram? what kind of ram do you have?

let me know.
good luck!

ok the memory sticks are crucial ; last time i touch the case it was really hot. i bought the mobo with the cpu and hsf installed and tested from Mwave. i guess they use generic hsf or el cheapo ones. my case is an enligt and has a 340w ps with a case fan.

ahh yes you have a heat issue.

Look in the back of your case and see if there is any room for a case fan and if you can open your case and check the front and see if there is a case fan there or if you can put one there.

OK so here is what to do to improve stability greatly:
Buy a better HSF. get a globalwin, they are pretty cheap but does the job pretty good. I believe the globalwin CAK38 is a good one. Always use a 4pin connector if it is available. and fill up your case with as many fans as possible. you'll have to measure your case fan slots to see what size they take. usualy it's 80mm.

and that will improve stability by a lot.

if you don't know how to do it yourself ask someone you know that does and see if they will do it for ya.

good luck!

Download the detonator drivers 21.83 from nvidia.com, the latest beta drivers have issues with win2k and xp.
