Contrary to popular belief, the Radeon 8500 IS STABLE (whatever that word means nowadays). I have yet to see a truly stable computer component or program. The nvidia detonator drivers are STILL buggy especially under Windows XP. Generally, ATI's current drivers are great but ATI does have a messy history. However, since the release of the Radeon 8500, ATI has made 3 driver updates. I have confidence in them that they will continue that trend into 2002. Performance-wise, the Radeon 8500 far surpasses the GeForce3 Ti200 in most games.

maybe i shouldn't have used word stable..
I have used geforce 2 series and that's only video card experience i have. and its been great, i never had any problem with nvidia chipset..so i guess im little "scared" to change it around...and i heard couple of storys about glitches and problems with AMD cpu..i know R8500 will perform better in games but...i donno..maybe i should go with r8500...:)
anyways, anyone know my first question?
