Downloaded and installed latest 3DMark, do I just click the benchmark button or do I have to 'setup' my system to run the test?

Is there a 'defaut setting' that everyone benchmarks with and do I need to 'tweak' any BIOS settings??

Just out of curiosity I clicked the benchmark button and got a score of 6957, using:

Athlon XP1900+
Asus V8200 GeForce3 Ti200
Detonator XP v23.11
512mb Crucial RAM
Soltek SL-75DRV2 mobo

All tests ran at 1024x768x32!

Methinks this score somewhat sucks! or does it?

A good score for your system, I don't think your system needs more tweaking.

Signature (up to 100 characters). You may use Markup in your signature

:)  The "norm" is to use the default settings that the program gives. This allows comparison to others who also use the default settings.

You can change the settings if you want to see the effect of an increase in resolution etc

Hmmm....

Nice to know  !

I overclocked the card to 200/450 and got a score of 7485, sweet! I have heatsinks on the Video card RAM so I think I'll leave the setting as it is for now as 3DMark didn't showup any problems when running, or should I drop back to the default 175/400??

Yeah as long as the thing is running completely normally with no signs of artifacts on the screen after long periods of use, there is no need to drop you speed.
You may be reducing the lifetime of your card... but lets face it these days cards usually become old and out of date long before they give up the ghost !

I got an almost identical score with the following:

Athlon (T-bird) 1.33Ghz
512 DDR running at CAS2
GeForce 3 Ti500

Which score? My first one or the second one!!

Also, does having MORE system RAM help the benchmark, anyone?
