Hey all. I have been looking at getting a Radeon 8500 Retail, but I also want a TV-Tuner card. Now I have been looking around, and I have considered the 8500DV, but it is clocked too low for my gaming needs (I wouldn't use any of the extra functions either but the TV-Tuner card). I was wondering if this combonation would work:

a Radeon 8500 Retail and a Matrox G450eTV card.

Now granted, I know the Matrox is like a All in Wonder card, but I was wondering if this would be a good combo, because the Matrox card is at 200 dollars now, and the price of a good Hauppauge WinTV Theater card is about the same. The cost would total about 420, a little over the price of an 8500DV. So does anyone recommend this or have any comments on what I should do??? Thanks for any info.

I think I should add cost is not an issue as long as I don't break the 500 dollar mark. The reason I am looking at this is because not only do I get a TV-Tuner card, but I get two graphic cards also, so it seems like a pretty good value. I just want to know if these two will run in a system together.

They should work together. But since the high end Haugpauge units are so much better than what's in the G450e, and the Radeon has dual view (or whatever they call it, works like two cards), I'd still go for the TV tuner card.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
