this is my setup

AMD 1.2GHz Athlon
FIC AZ11EA Mainboard
ATI Radeon 64MB DDR (i think they call it a 7500 now)
SB Live

I freeze up ALOT playing wolfenstein or everquest or anything. like 3 or 4 times a hours sometimes. Whenever it freezes it always makes a really high pitched tone through my speakers. i switched the memory out and still the same. i switched the HDD b/c it was old and i still get the same problem. The parts above are all the old parts i have so it has to be a problem with them. I'm either assuming one of them is bad or there is a conflict with them. can anyone help me?

with games, generally when you have pb is because of your sound card or your video card

if you have a high pitched tone when your pc freezes, i think you have a pb with your graphic card

what's your OS ?
Have you tried to upgrade your sb live! drivers ?

if something has been change before this probleme is appeared ?

i think there is integrated tests for your sblive!
have you tried them ?

note:
is not exactly like tne new 7500 which have better perf, higher gpu speed & higher memory frequency

yes you need to specify if it's an Original 64MB DDR or a 7500. if you don't know find out.

Games freezing can be numerous issues in a system yet alone the graphic card.

please answer the previous post. which OS, drivers etc?
