I just ordered an ATI 8500 card from Buyaib. They sent me the card. The invoice says "ATI Radeon 8500 64MB DDR 3D Gamer AGP-DVI, Dual, Video Ot, OEM". I looked at the card and there are no identification marks that says 8500. It has a black plug that's marked S-Vid out,a smaller rectangular plug that's marked CRT and a larger rectangular plug with 28 pin resepticles that is marked DVI. CD with it is labeled 100+DVD, 180-GO1400-100. Please somebody help me out QUICKLY so that if I have been shipped the wrong board I can call them. I'm assuming the S-vid out is for one monitor and of course the CRT is for a typical monitor. Oh Yeah, one of the small chips on the board is marked "ATI Rage Theater". Help! First time dealing with this company.

Plug it in, and see what it identifies it as.

You got the right card. Just plug it in and make sure that it says Radeon 8500 in Windows. It has all the right connections, and it has the Rage Theater chip for all the video features.

I thought only the 8500DV had the Rage Theater chip. Try going to Ati's website and looking at the pictures of the card, that's the simple solution.

You got an OEM Radeon 8500, just like you ordered. The S-Video jack is for connecting to a television. To use dual CRT monitors you must PURCHASE a DVI to VGA adapter, as it was not included with the OEM card. Also, ATI has their own version of an S-Video to RCA-Composite adapter, which should be used if you want to connect to a TV with that connector. A standard S-Video to RCA-Composite adapter will work, but the card will detect an S-Video connection.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
