Hi, does anyone have any experience with KDS notebook computers, or KDS products in general? I'm about to buy a new laptop and was wondering about KDS' relatively cheap Valiant 6480IPTD. It has everything, 14.1" TFT, 128mb, P3-800, 8xDVD, and 20gig hdd. In terms of reliability, can I trust KDS? Other brands I'm considering are Compaq, Dell and Fujitsu - any info on these?

I have a KDS monitor and I love it. I didn't know they made anything other than monitors.

Toshiba laptops are good, especially the 2813, 14 and 15 models, they all have Active screens and dvd players, make sure you get one with an active screen.

Both me and my friend have KDS FD trinitron monitors. They have worked fine. He has had his for over a year now and mine is about 3 months old. Nice monitors too. Now laptops are a differant story. I was also wondering about the quality of those laptops, they are nicely priced. However, "you get what you pay for" is ringing in my head.

Thanks for the comments/suggestions. After some shopping around, I've decided on Dell or Compaq. For about the same price I'll have to settle with a P3-700 and smaller harddrive.
