I have an ATI AIW and I am trying to do a clean install of Windows XP. Before the blue screen setup finishes, my monitor goes into safe mode and my computer hangs. However, I am able to put in another vid card, do the setup fine then replace the vid cards and XP works fine with the AIW card. Has anyone else had this problem or knows what to do? ANy help would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you have an IRQ conflict. As long as you get it loaded and install the AIW and it works then I wouldn't worry about it.

How would it be an IRQ conflict if it has its own IRQ address and there is no OS installed yet? All XP does is try to initialize its setup menu and it craps out. So weird!
Never mind that... I remember when i tried to old win2k on my laptop and it crapped out when it tried to load the video card drivers.
