HELP, directx 8 driver

I just received the "Survivor" Game as a gift which requires 12MB 3D video card and Directx 8. I loaded the game and it installed Directx 8, but when I try to play the game it only shows the introductry movie followed by a screen which only displays partial options. The rest of the screen is black. I looked up the Survivor game web page for troublbeshooting and it directed me to the ATI web site to download a driver that would work with Directx 8. I tried downloading the driver from ATI, but it is saying the driver is corrupt. I have a ATI Rage Magnum 128.

be sure to uninstall current drivers first.. install standard generic pci vga driver then install rage drivers after reboot .. try this link for driver
