Both cards are poor in 3D performance. About the best bang for the buck (sub $100US range)is the Visiontek GTS-V xtasy from newegg.com

Sells for $65 bucks plus $5 for shipping, for the extra 20 bucks its well worth it.

Except that he's in Canada. At today's conversion rate it will cost $113 CAD PLUS a $2.50 CAD or higher bank transaction fee PLUS duty when it crosses the border (at least an extra $20-$30 in duty taxes) PLUS the cost of a $0.65 stamp. That's $140 CAD or more.

You're better off going to a local retail store and buying a cheep gforce2 mx200 card for around $75.00 CAD plus taxes. Of course if you want a really good card then go for the gforce 3's or Radeon 8500, but those all cost over $400 CAD.

Personally, I wouldn't touch the Matrox G400.

Hey, is there really all those charges getting a card from the states?

I was gonna buy a GeForce 2 Ti from NewEgg.com (I'm in Toronto) but that makes a big difference. You sure?

Is it a REAL TNT2, or a TNT2 M64, or a TNT2 Vanta? I've never actually seen a REAL TNT2 from Pine, only the crappy M64 and Vanta versions. But if it is a REAL TNT2, than keep it, it's a reasonably good performer, probably as good or better in games than the G400.
The REAL TNT2 had a 128-bit memory interface and 6ns SDRAM. By simply adding a fan to the heatsink, you could get these things to overclock to at least 150/180, at which speed they will significantly outperform cards of similar vintage. They'll even beet a similarly overclocked MX200.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
