I want to buy an ATI 8500 card and would appreciate an explanation of OEM vs. Retail cards. Any performance differences? Thanks!

The radeon 8500 OEM (or 8500LE) is clocked lower at 250MHz instead of the retail's 275MHz. Also, I believe the DVI to VGA dongle may not be present. Because of these differences, it will be priced lower.

I'm not sure about the overclocking, but you do not get a DVI to VGA dongle. That is not a big deal, i was able to get one for $5 off the internet plus shipping($5 ground, $7 two-day). I currently have the 7500, I would like to know more about the overclocking as well.

Radeon Overclocking? www.rage3d.com should get you started. They have an Overclocking utility but the only link I ever found was in an article and has been long since burried. I know it works for Radeon and Radeon 8500 chips alike. I got my radeon AIW from 166 to 184 with it.

[EDIT]
Found the program. I like it but some programs don't. Can't use it with Adobe Premiere installed.
