I just bought a Geforce2 TI 64 card to be able to play 3D games but it is mentionned on all recent games that at least PIII 500 is required whereas mine is only PII 300MHz. I'd like to know if my card would help the CPU to handle all those new games (as I heard somewhere) or am I definately obliged to upgrade my CPU?

You'll need that GeForce2 Ti for the latest games but you'll also need a significantly faster CPU as well. You'll want a new motherboard, RAM and CPU to enjoy games.

You should upgrade to a faster processor, depending on your motherboard, the PIII 850 or 933 are good choices. If your motherboard supports the 133MHz bus speed of the 933, the 700 will overclock to 933 fairly easily, for less money. If your really poor, the Celeron 900 goes for aroun $45, but only performs about the same as a stock speed PIII 700.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
