Hi,
was sitting in front of my comp, playing a game, when I began to think how powerful the GPU is. It makes teh CPU look like nothing. Think about it- my Quadro DCC can render in real time, or faster, scene in 3D S max that have raytracing, real physics, and billions, even trillions of polygons! CPU takes a looooooooooong time to do that (I have a 1.2Ghz). It would be interesting if they somhow found a way to make the GPU also take over all aspects of the CPU, in other words it also becomes the CPU. That would be an incredibly fast system.

unlike the CPU, it works under specific operations, its like only using the SSE of the cpu, if every thing was optimised..
you cant use it as the cpu for the same reson, its for specific tasks.

Well, I guess someone could come up with a game/sound combo card.
