I keep getting a reminder when I log onto my computer that I have X amount of
days left to activate windows amd to click on the bubble to activate it.
When I do, the next window message says that windows xp is already activated.
What do I need to do to make sure that my windows xp really IS activated.
The last time the time ran out I had to reload xp to my computer.

Try repairing the registry entries for the .DLL files used by
activation:

Use Start- Run and enter the following text in the dialog box:
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll

Then do it again with the following text:
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

If that does not resolve the problem then boot the computer into Safe
Mode and try the commands again.

Good luck
