I just installed a second hard drive on my computer. It is listed as letter
"E"...that is fine. However, my DVD burner is now listed as a compact flash
drive, however it still works fine. I have uninstalled all of my drives and
reinstalled them to no avail. All my drives are working fine, but it's just
an annoyance that they are not all labeled correctly.

Please help me if you can.

thanks

Insert your flash drive, start > run > type "compmgmnt.msc" without the
quotes > hit enter > navigate to the Disk Management section > and assign
the device a nice high letter (beyond letter "N" should do) and then move
your DVD drive to some other letter. Close all that out and see if it now
has it's proper label. If it does you *might* be able to move it back to
letter "E" if you want.
