Thomas Bruckschlegel, from ToMMTi-Systems who is also a registered ATI developer has received a new XP driver set and ran some quick tests with those. The new version number is 6.13.10. 6011. Improvements:

3DMark 2001 Default:
:: 3286 - 6117 (Game 4 Nature: 27.2)
:: 6011 - 6250 (Game 4 Nature: 40.3)
FS 2002, Comanche 4 & Aquamark (Aquanox) problems fixed
Different issues with DVI/TV/VGA modes fixed
HyperZ II optimizations

By the way anybody check out the poll done at rivastation shows that about 30% want the Radeon 8500 as compared to the about 17% that want the Ti 500 heheheheheheheh

Those 3DMark2001 score seem very low! Anyway, finally, the Radeon 8500 will be able to match the GeForce3 Ti500 on the Nature test! Yes! I'm willing to bet that my 3DMark2001 score will be near or over 8000 with those drivers! I'm getting ~7200-7300 now.

i just hope i can break 7000 in 3dmark2k1 when i get my new asus P4S333 mobo with the sis645 chip and pc2700 ram...
my current score is really depressing me

I have a 1.33GHz Athlon, an Abit KT7A, and 256MB CL2 PC133 RAM. Believe it or, that RAM doesn't seem to be slowing me down!

It's cuz you are running at CL2. It makes a huge difference, most people don't pay attention to that when they purchase ram even though the cost difference is negligable.
