Your Celeron of coarse! You can overclock a Celeron 566 to 850 by raising the bus speed to 100MHz and the voltage to 1.70v-1.85v. Before you freek out about your original voltage being only 1.50v, remember that this is the same core as the 1.65v PIII runs on, they simply lowered the Vcore for such a factory UNDERCLOCKED processor.

When i overclock my processor, my video card become hotter than b4, does it mean that when i overclock my processor i overclock my graphic card too?

How to change the voltage if im using a old motherboard like GA-6VXE7+ using VIA Apollo Pro ... chipset?
Edited by johndoe933 on 01/02/02 01:26 AM.

GOOD QUESTION! YES! NO! Yes, you did overclock your video card going from 66 to 83.3MHz. But when you make it 100MHz, it will go back to stock speed. Most chipsets are made to provide stock AGP/PCI speeds at 66MHz, 100MHz, and 133MHz. Anything in between overclocks these buses.

If you can't change your voltage on the motherboard, you can do it on the processor. Jumping two pins together (VId3 and VSS) changes the voltage to 1.90v, but would require a large cooler, such as those used for socketed Athlons. Yes, Socket 462 coolers do fit Socket 370.

r 1.65 enough to overclock to 850?
bcoz that is the closest voltage to my default voltage.....
and 1.9 is too far and i know that my processor cannot change voltage to 1.7-1.85 bcoz pin VID2 r internally connected to Vss......

1.70v will usually do the trick, but to get it you'd need to jump Vid3 to VSS and DICONNECT Vid1. I don't know how comfortable you are with that!

Maybe, you can get that by jumping Vid0 and Vid1 to VSS.
