When win xp boots up and i log in i get a message saying

"an application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which
cannot be supported.this may cause the application to function
incorrectly.Choose 'close' to terminate the application"

and then when i click on close i get another message saying:

"System error

Divide by Zero or Overflow Error"

my windows xp tends to freeze and run really really slow from time to
time and i think it's because of those error messages, so if someone
knows what i should do to fix them please explain.
