I would like to know which graphic card do I have to buy.
Here in Uruguay the prices are:
ATI Radeon 8500 = 355 USS
GeForce 3 TI200 = 310 USS
I have a XP 1700 with 512 DDR running with Win XP.
I've already seen a few reviews and apparently all indicates that radeon 8500 is better at least in performance, but it has a driver problem now at day. I can't afford to a GeForce 3 TI500 because it cost more than 500 USS.
Which card may I pick?, I'll appreciate any suggestion

Radeon 8500, no doubt. The latest leaked drivers make the Radeon 8500 faster than a GeForce3 Ti500 in most games and I personally am not experiencing any stability problems with the latest drivers under WinXP.

easy question, easy answer. Radeon 8500.

also, i use a nvidia gts and have used many of both brands, i usually prefer ati.

i agree with everyone else, i myself got a geforce 3 ti200 (because it was cheaper and im not a hardcore gamer) but if i had the extra cash i would have gotten that radeon 8500, the retail version of course

Check on Madonion, they usually have links to the latest drivers, legit or no.

How much do you have gain in nature benchmark (3Dmark).I am now around 46 FPS

well the ti200 can be comfortably overclocked to the same speed of the ti500, and in every comparison i have seen (duno bout these leaked drivers) the ti500 is faster under normal gaming conditions

3DMARK2001 PERFORMANCE IS NOT OVERALL GAME PERFORMANCE!!!!!!


I would be willing to bet ati spends more time optimising for the nature demo than they do any other thing lol.
