For a while now, I thought that my case fan was on the way out. After two replacements, I realized that it was the cheesy fan/heatsink combo on my Prophet 4500 (kinda dumb, I know). I've filled out Hercules' fan replacement form but never hear back (3+ weeks and not even a conformation email). Has anyone succefuly delt w/ their service?
Or maybe an aftermarket fan suggestion?

I had the same problem but I discovered it was the gpu fan before replacing anything. After the fact, I sent in the fan replacement thing, got the email and then got a fan like 3-4 weeks later. It turned out to be the wrong fan (square instead of round) and so I called them. They sent the correct one in about 2-3 weeks. All has been fine since then.

Hope this helps any.

Yeah, I sent off that form, but haven't seen any results yet. So far I haven't been too impressed w/ their customer support. It was definatly the card fan, when I pulled the card out the fan was locked up!!!
thanks tho...

Won't that mess up the chip? I'v seen where you use epoxy to hold it on. If that fan gives up the ghost, you're hosed, right?
