Hi!

I bought a new Graphics card, Gainward GeforceII MX-400, VIVO, dualhead.

Other devices:
Epox mainboard with Socket7 VIA-chipset (100 MHz bus, VP3.. Not sure of the accurate model)
AMD K6-2 300 Mhz
192 MB of memory
2 x 4.3 gig Seagate
SB 128

Primary problem is that newest games hang up or give a message "no suitable 3D-card available". (older ones work just fine) I´ve tried DirectX 8 - 8.1 and several Nvidia drivers, but they don´t seem to help. DirectX test works fine, no problem. If someone has any ideas, I´d be thankful!

Did you make sure hardware acceleration is set to FULL?

Right click desktop.
Select properties.
Select Advanced.
Select Performance.
Make sure acceration bar is all the way to the right.

I doubt this is it since you say it passes the DirectX tests, but its worth a look...

Use CPUID and check and make sure everything is o.k. Especially check your AGP settings. Maybe you don't have your chipset drivers installed (AGP drivers). You could try reinstalling your AGP drivers..

Oh go ye brown-eyed toothless wonder.
