It may sound simple but this is really driving me crazy.
I want to play DVD's on the TV.

I have a Hercules geforce 3 ti 200, a pioneer slot dvd player, power dvd3 decoder. It plays on screen I've connected the cables to the geforce tv out and to the tv.

What am i missing??

try unplugin your monitor from the boot up and use your tv as a screen monitor, dont remember where but i think i read that most nvidia cards arnt capable of dual display.

It's probably something simple. Make sure you monitor is unplugged, make sure your TV out is connected to the TV correctly, and make sure the TV is set to AV2 (or whatever it is you have to display inputs from something other than the antenna).

Thanks for your help. Now sorted.

I searched everywhere, all the homepages webhelp & in all the handbooks (I hate reading those damn things!).

So contacted hercules & found the solution, when u connect the cables to ur TV u need to reboot, because only then do you get a extra TV-out option in the Active Destop/Customize My Desktop/Display Properties/Settings/Advanced, device selection which u switch from analogue to TV. Simple if u know where & when to look.

Would be helpful if they added this info to the handbook :(

is the play quality any good?
I'm thinking of making up a lead to go from my ti2 to my tv which is about 10m away.

Yes the quality seems fine to me, but I'm not an expert. Its much better than a VCR anyway.

You can buy them from maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk cost £9.99/14.99 for a 5/10m. Product code TK09K or TK10L
