i recently got my new system up and running, unfortunatly, i bought the bad version of the Radeon 8500, where it is clocked at 230. by no means am i upset with the performance, i went from a 500celeron compaq to this, but i just want to make sure that its not sucking. my 3dmark score is 10500 under the default benchmark. can anyone tell me some reference scores or their scores/system. my specs are as follows:

athlon xp 1700+ oced too 1570mhz
radeon 8500 --bad oem version with clock at 230
soltek 75drv2 mobo
512 pc2100 ram

thx =)

well first I presume you are using 3DMark2000 (with that score)?? there is a 2001 which is more demanding.

Score sounds good though

You thought about overclocking the Radeon a little ?

about the radeon oc, i have no idea how to overclock a video card, i know it sounds kinda stupid, this is my first PC, and it's probably really simple but i've looked for a guide or something and couldn't find one. heh i feel really stupid, but could u tell me how to go about it?
