Ok, I'm going to buy a Gainward Geforce 3 TI200, but there are 2 versions of it, the 64MB version and the 128MB version ($40 more), how much of a performance gain will I see with the 128MB version?

"how much of a performance gain will I see with the 128MB version?"

Not much. Most games don't even take advantage of 64, let alone 128. The card will be showing its age by the time 128 helps you out too much. I'm actually going to pick up the 64 MB model myself, once the GF4s are announced.

what if the price between 64 mb and 128 mb is only 10 bucks?

it wouldn't hurt to have 128 mb.. would it?

i'm talking about leadtek gf3 ti200 .

It certainly wont hurt the performance in any way. The question is, are you willing to pay that extra $10 for almost no improvement?

If you are a graphic designer or something like that, perhaps you'll benefit with a video adapter that has 128Mb.
Do Corel Draw, Paint Shop Pro, etc. take advantage of all that memory.

if the diff is only $10, I will take the 128.

hell I'd pay the 10 bucks just say I had 128mb...lets face it most chumps out there would be like "oooooh 128!" regardless of whether it helps or not.

I've actually had a bit of texture thrashing in Tribes2 when everything is cranked up...128 might actually help there.
