Hexus.net had some pictures of the Geforce4 but has pulled them.

Fortunately, OCWorkbench still has a low-res pic.

I've got all the original pics from Hexus. Give me a few minutes and I'll put them up.

Nice pics.
The GPU heatsink looks great.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground  .

Cool. Thanks.

Hey, I just realized it doesn't have any ramsinks.

Impressive. I wouldnt mind being a beta tester for that at all.
Does anyone know what its specs are. ie: clock speed, memory, etc.

I also noticed that you cant see any memory. Is it under the heatsink maybe?
January 25, 2002 7:36:00 PM

The memory is the small black quares. It's the same kind of memory that Kingmax uses, can't remember what it's called. Half on the top, half on the bottom (like the Radeon 8500).

No ramsinks, possibly because this is the "MX" version of the GF4.

No info about clock/mem speeds. This should be released in the first week of Febuary, hit the shelves 1-2 weeks later.

They probably streamlined memory access so that they don't need it, like they did with the Radeon 8500.

Looks sleak, but we'll have to see what's under the hood.

I sold my soul to Microsoft, and all I got was this lousy operating system.

Well there it is. The Geforce 4 is about to hit the market and I still don't own even one DirectX 8 game. I guess I will be able to skip Geforce3 completely.

Thats a huge positive for you. I think the Geforce three is milking the market right now so that they can afford the reall technologies that will be built around DirectX 8.

Im not saying that Gf 3's are bad. IM speculating that Gef 4's or the next cards after that are going to being taking a REALLY big step up from the Gf 3's. I think its worth the wait.

Hard to tell in the low-res pic but I think there are no visable traces to the video memory. Maybe it's BGA (Ball Grid Array) memory. I think BGA has lower voltage requirements.

Get Max Payne, it's cheap now.

Why? I just got a Radeon 8500, I don't care about GF3 prices going down.

Wow those RAM chips are tiny, I wonder if they were built on the .13 micron process?
Can anybody read what’s written on the RAM?

It's the same as Kingmax RAM. I think it's .25 or .18 micron.

Which drivers are you using for the Radeon 8500 FatBurger?

Btw, Gf4 cards are gonna be $399. :)

Someone posted a link to my page on some website I've never heard of. I emailed them, but only after Geocities shut down my webpage. No big deal, except they didn't ask me before linking to my site. That pisses me off.

The website is here, if anyone knows who runs this site please let me know. I've emailed him/her, but I don't know if it's someone from this forum or whatnot.

one stupid question, do you guys know if there will be a Dual Monitor version for Geforce 4?
January 29, 2002 12:41:21 AM

There probably will be, but we don't know yet. Wait until Feb. 5.

Hey, there's a disclaimer stating that the administator isn't responsible for the content of the forums. There's also a note that the site isn't affiliated with "FattyBurger".

Funny thing is, the forums at that site aren't even functional.

p.s. Thanks for providing the pics. At least we know the Geforce4 (or 4 MX) is real.
