Whenever I try to play streamed media through internet explorer or
windows media player they crash and i get the send error report screen.
When I click on the see what data this error report contains, this is
what I get:

AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.3802 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2713 Offset: 0007938b

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2713 Offset: 0007938b

How can I fix this?

Hmmmm...don't know if this helps, because I had a problem that related to the
same .dll file as you. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=243713
This corrects autocomplete corrupted files...don't know if it helps with
your situation. Maybe even try uninstalling and re-installing Media Player.
ALSO...sometimes this file can be corrupted by a virus. Make sure your
anti-virus software is up to date.
