Hi. There is a new site up at http://xp-refresh.net that exposes the refresh rate limitations in Windows XP. The goal of the site is to get users to contact Microsoft about them so they will eventually get fixed. I know you all hate getting low refresh rates in games as much as I do ;) . Please visit the site and learn how to help get Microsoft’s attention so they can fix these refresh rate problems in future service packs and releases of Windows.

If it can be fixed by third parties, then microsoft should be able to offer a patch. Whether they will or not...

My guess is MS will make people buy some new "XP Plus! for Gamers," once DirectX 9.1 is out. It'd probably have a bunch of lame features everyone would disable, a few new themes, DX 9.1, and then the refresh fix.

It may not happen, but it feels like something they would totally do.
