I've narrowed my search for a video card down to 2 cards.
Geforce2Ti and the Radeon 7500. I'm at a crossroads as to which one would work best for my system (T-Bird750, 512 ram). DVD playback quality is important to me. I watch alot of movies on my system. I've read the Radeon is better, but my current Voodoo3 3500 seems to be fine. As long as the Geforce2 TI can match the Voodoo3 quality, I would be happy.

I was also told to just save the money, buy a $50 Geforce2 GTS and wait for the Geforce4's to come out.

Anyone have opinions?

why would you want to wait for the geforce 4 unless you're going to buy it because its going to horrendiously expensive.
the only reason to wait for the gf4 is so the prices on the other geforce cards will be lower.
by what you're looking for (gf2 ti, R7500), you're looking to spend around $150 (US dollars) for a vid card.
if you look around...you may find a gf3 ti200 for a little more than $150.
but of those two cards...gf2 is probably better for games and the R7500 is probably better for DVD playback.

Ya , the only reason I want to wait is to see if the Geforce3's drop at all. I was checking pricewatch both the Geforce2 Ti and Radeon 7500 cards are below $100

Radeon 7500 has more features, similar cost, similar speed.

And PR problems (have you seen their ads!?? How the hell is a half-naked man supposed to convince me to buy their graphics card???)

BTW ... Waiting until post GF4 release is a great idea, the prices will all move down a "slot".

Well, it's still a debate if it;s a guy or girl. There was a poll on it...

lol. Well, for starters, get a via chipset, then install win 95. Next, dl a beta driver. That should do it. Install as much incompatible software as possible, and oc it to the max (w/o cooling). U may not be able to boot:)

7500 is the original Radeon chip at a higher speed. No driver problems that I know of.
