My bro's friend told him that since I OCed my Ti200 to 200/420, I stand to have lowered my card's lifetime. Should I believe him? If so to what extend? What is lifetime defined when OCing minorly such cards? Any worries to take?

Instead of 10 years your card will only run 5 years, so don't worry it will be replaced in time, and if it isn't running to hot il will last longer.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground   .

Yes, OC will shorten the life of the hardware. Let's assume it will shorten 50% of the life, maybe from 10 years to 5 years? Who cares, you have to replace that 5 years later. I OC my Celeron 300A to 450, I keep it running 7/24 for 4 years, it is still running.

But we're talking video card, so definitly in 2 years it will still be running great no matter what, right? What about power outtages, could they cause anything?
Although I doubt all this, it's always good to be informed.
