Hi :)

I am a webdesigner and use Corel Draw9, Corel Photopaint9, Textpad, Dreamweaver4, Flash5, PHPDev, amongst others.

I'm putting a system together, mainly to use the above applications, but also for the occasional game, and so far my list of components includes:

.AMD Athlon XP 1700+ processor
.Soltek SL-75DRV2 motherboard
.256Mb PC2100 DDRAM
.IMB GXP60 60Gb HD
.Lite-On CDRW
.iiyama 17" monitor (already in use)

My budget for a graphic card is about £100 ($150).

In the near future, I intend to use a second monitor in "dual display mode".

My question is:

Shall I buy a "Dual Display" ready card (like the GeForce MX series, or ATI Radeon 7500, or Matrox 400), or buy a better card for the same price, and buy a second card and use a "dual display" software (is the one integrated in W2k any good? how tricky is it to use 2 cards?) when the need arises?

My requirements are stability, 2D before 3D quality (both if possible, lol), enough "tweaking" features to get the most out of my monitor.

Thanks in advance, ;)

Your best shoot would be the G450 or G550 from Matrox, they are just awsome when it comes to work in a 2 monitors environement and still can play games whit a fare quality.

For every thing that require 2D Matrox is THE choice in V/C and as well as twin view goes...again Matrox is leading the pack by a long run.

Hope this helps.
