This is not technical at all, although some might dismiss it as a "technicality"... but I've always wondered what the correct way to pronounce "aliasing" was... There are two ways to stress the "alias" part and two ways to pronounce the "i" in alias". I checked an online dictionary already, of course that was the first thing I did, but alas, this word baffles me...

2 ways:

ant-eye-ale-ee-sing
ant-ee-ale-ee-sing

don't know how else to explain it. Look up just anti- in the dictionary and then look up alias...that's the way I pronounce it.

Okay, the anti part makes sense but for "alias" the dictionary has two pronunciations:

'A-lE-&s, 'Al-y&s

That being a-lee-es-sing <--this being the most common pronunciation
and ale-yes-ing <-- this sounds more slurred like a Southern accent
