Any error logs other than event viewer?

I'm trying to get a cgi file to interact with excel. Unfortunately it
isn't working from the server. I fixed all related errors that were in
the event viewer logs. However when I still try to run the program, the
webpage starts working and it seems right before it displays I get
default beep and an exclamation sound, IE keeps running for a minute or
two then times out.
Nothing shows up in any of the logs (in Admin Tools). Are there any
other error logs that would give me some kind of hint as to why I am at
least getting these sounds?

There are lot's of logs on your system. The way to locate these logs is by
noting the time on the system when the errors occur. Then, do a search for
all files created or modified at that time. Skim through the list until you
find something that looks appropriate and try to open it in Notepad to read
it.
