ATI has released today, 128MB versions of the Radeon 8500 and Radeon 8500LE running at the same clock speed as before. The performance difference between the 64MB Radeon 8500 and the 128MB Radeon 8500 are minimal.

hehe, but when you can get a 128MB card for no price premium over the 64MB card, then that's basically a free 64MB.

A free 64MB that does nothing.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

ay, true, but it does cost slightly more to produce. Don't think manufacturers should have done that, but whatever.

They're aiming for the "could have had a GeForce Pro 32MB, but choose the MX200 64MB card instead, 'cause we all know that 64MB is better" crowd I think!

They're aiming to counteract the GF4 release until they can release an equivalent card.

hey hey, you forget that you can run Anti-aliasing (FSAA - smoothvision - whatever ) at higher resolutions with more RAM. read toms review of the 128MB Ti200's.

True, true, but I don't see the point of anti-aliasing at 1600*1200.

lol, everyone needs FSAA at 1600*1200 on 15" CRT's!
