Encryption of a notepad document

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to encrypt a notepad document?
As a business I need to ensure that customers sending information to me is
encrypted at a minimum of 128-bit RC4. The files they send me are in
notepad. So, how can I show them how to do this?
